CITIZEN TV LOSES TUSKER PROJECT FAME

And NTV is the new broadcasting station that will air this year's Tusker Project Fame reality show, according to very close sources. NTV broadcasted the first TPF show, before Citizen TV took over in TPF 2, since NTV chose Zain University Challenge over TPF.

WAHU IN KANSAS

Singer Wahu seems to be enjoying her time now. As her music picks up in the industry after a long break due to her pregnancy and parental duties, her international shows have picked up steadily. She is now doing a mini-tour in Kansas State, organised by promoter 'Wazimu'. She will be there for the next two or three weeks. Meanwhile, her husband Nameless has joined other Kenyan artistes in the Kenya For Change tour, urging Kenyans to read the constitution before the Referendum.

P-UNIT TO RELEASE ALBUM ON MONDAY

In a shop near you, you can pick the latest album in town, 'Wagenge Hao', by P-Unit. The album, produced by Musyoka of Decimal Records, features all the hottest tracks by the trio, and collabos with different artistes. Their latest release, 'Kare', seems to be doing very well in the charts. The official launch will be done in August.

OGOPA FINALLY RELEASES NIKKI'S VIDEO

Ogopa DJs have finally released Nikki's (Sheila Mwanyigha)video, 'Leave', shot in February this year. Despite the fact that they promised to release the video in two weeks, Ogopa has taken four months. "They have ruined my plans completely and I don't think I'll ever do a video there again," said Nikki. And she is not the only one. Lots of artistes are suffering too because of the video delay. Gospel musician Ringtone is still waiting for a video that was shot in March.

IS OMOSH THAT BROKE?

Wannabe comedian Eric 'Omosh' Omondi can really embarrass himself. He ordered drinks at the Rezorus VIP lounge last night, during the Uptown Thursday show hosted by G-Money. He pretended to be entertaining his friends with dry jokes as he bought them drinks. When the waiter gave him the bill, he put it in his pocket, then went out of the club unnoticed. According to the waitress, she thought he was going to the gents but one hour later, she was still looking for him with the assistance of bouncers, but all in vain!

AY AND FA FOR EUROPE HIP-HOP TOUR

Bongo Flava's finest, AY and Mwana FA will be leaving next week for a series of hip-hop shows in Europe. They will perform in Finland, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway and Sweden, according to AY. The tour will take about two to three weeks. AY is also set to perform in Juba, South Sudan, late August, although the deal is not finalized yet. AY and FA are currently promoting their latest collabo, 'Usije Mjini', which is doing very well in East Africa so far.

RAMA NYANG: I'M BETTER OFF OUT OF KTN!

Rama Nyang is now working at Radio One, you probably know that. Radio One, based at Barclays Plaza, on Loita Street, is owned by media investor Sir Henry Otiende. Although the presenters have not gone on air yet, Rama says he is much better off KTN. "I was over worked at KTN and I don't miss that place at all. My job was to host or present but not produce shows, which I did. I had to walk out because I was doing more than what my contract clearly said," he told ShowbizTu. Asked whether he told off his bosses while walking out, he denied the allegations.

MAQBUL TO WED THIS SATURDAY!!!!

Capital FM presenter Maqbul Mohammmed will be getting married this weekend, to long time girlfriend Ciru. Asked if the rumors were true, Maqbul did not want to comment on it or where the wedding venue will be. However, close family members have revealed that there will be a 'heena' party tomorrow at the CID training school, the possible venue for the wedding.

WYRE TO COLLABO WITH KANDA BONGOMAN

The Love Child seems to be going places! Wyre will be releasing a track with Kanda Bongoman anytime now. The two met last December in Juba, South Sudan, and Kanda was impressed by his performance during the Miss Malaika beauty pageant, where they shared the same stage. Close sources say that Kanda's producers in London, where he currently resides, have already picked one of his best hits, so Wyre will just add something on it. Contacted, Wyre confirmed the reports, saying that it was one of the biggest steps he's made in his music career.
"I'm honored just to work with this legend, for my name to be next to his is just greater than anything else," said Wyre. He has already sent his vocals to Kanda's producers in the UK and he's just awaiting results.

LEXXY TO WED IN DECEMBER?

Musician Lexxy, formerly of XYZee, is rumored to be planning a secret wedding this December, with girlfriend Brenda. The artiste has even invited Brenda to the US, where he lives, for final preparations. It is not clear whether Brenda, a well-reserved Nairobi girl, has secured a visa or not. Lexxy was overheard saying that if she doesn't make it to the US, he will be forced to comeback to Kenya for the wedding as he promotes his new song 'pretender'.
