JUA CALI IS BUILDING A HOUSE!!

Wonder where Genge artiste Jua Cali has been taking his money? He is building a house at Kahawa Sukari, in the outskirts of Nairobi. Although he is hiding it, his girlfriend is pregnant too and might deliver soon. And who is his next door neighbour? Clemmo!!! They both bought the plots after the 2007 elections campaigns where they got a lucrative deal in managing entertainment in the PNU campaigns.

CHURCHILL MIGHT QUIT CLASSIC FM!!!!

Well, you are hearing it first! Churchill seems to be making more money outside radio and he might be tendering his resignation letter any time now. According to the comedian, he is kind of tired of creating new jokes every morning. He wants to concentrate on MC jobs, theatre and TV career. However, it's not going to be easy for Churchill. When he left the station for Q-FM two years ago, co-host Maina Kageni was left suffering on the breakfast show. He had to get his new salary matched up before he could get back to Classic. In fact, some extra cash was added on top, and he was forced by the company to sell his old KAC mercedes benz to a brand new KBB mercedes benz car. Top managers at Radio Africa are now talking to him so that he can stay.

ALLIANCE FRANCAISE MAD AT MAKADEM!

The management of Alliance Francaise, Nairobi, is not happy with musician Makadem. Apparently, Makadem released his World Cup theme song on the internet without notifying them, yet he wanted to Alliance to launch it for him. The Ogopa-produced video is supposed to be launched tomorrow (02.07.10) at 4.30 pm. "What's the point of having a media launch here when the video is already on You Tube and Facebook?"said a top manager at Alliance. But it seems the launch will still proceed.

IS JAGUAR SMELLING DEFEAT ON HIS BEEF WITH PREZZO?

He started the beef with Prezzo a few months ago, but now he's smelling defeat. Last weekend at the launch of Refigah's Grandpa records launch, Jaguar admitted that his beef with Prezzo is not going the way he wanted. He said he now wants to re-strategize since Prezzo seems to careless about the beef. It's now obvious that Jaguar wanted to gain something out of the beef, instead, he has lost his credibility in the industry. Sources close to Prezzo say that the self-proclaimed King of Bling "has more issues to worry about, not engaging himself with small time artistes like Jaguar."

AY'S MANAGER STILL LOOKING FOR MORE ARTISTES

Bongo musician AY's manager, Maleek Buddy, is now looking for more artistes to manage here in Kenya. Buddy, who will be flying Tanzania next week to seal a deal with Bongo's Ray C, is already managing clothes designer and hip-hop artiste Fundi Frank, although he's yet to seal a deal with Mustafa. In Tanzania, other than AY, he also manages Mwana FA, Proffesa Jay, Hermy B and a host of other upcoming artistes. Buddy is a popular businessman both in Kenya and Tanzania.

WILL INSYDER GO BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD?

After Safaricom heavily sponsored both Chaguo La Teeniez and Groove awards this year, the mobile service provider is re-considering their next move. According to very close sources inside Safaricom House, the top managers are considering dropping off Chaguo La Teeniez awards, organised by Insyder Magazine. Some of the reasons cited include lack of proper coverage before and after the event, and it's poor management. Although the fate of Groove awards is yet to be known, the event organisers, Mo Sound, seem to be enjoying the few events that they are getting from Safaricom. However, there are allegations about the improper use of funds by MO Sound company, so their fate is yet to be known. If Safcom pulls out of Chaguo La Teeniez, it will be a major blow for them as another tittle sponsor Fanta, pulled out two years ago. The matter is still in court.

REDSAN HIRED THE RANGE ROVER!!!

Dancehall musician Redsan is a big liar, sometimes. According to sources, Redsan hired the Range Rover Sport car he used at the Safaricom Sevens, held early this month. He went to Subru Motors and was told it would cost him 20k to hire the ride for a day. When he suggested to the owner that he would only pay 10k then finish the res later, the owner refused and Redsan was forced to pay the full amount. And Oh Yeah, he came and flossed with it at the Sevens!

NDARLING P BACK IN THE COUNTRY

"Yes Yes Yo! Ndarling P in yo area....4 in One...." Can't even remember the original lyrics for this song. His name is Ndarling P, who was a hit in the late 90's, did two songs and left the country. Now he's back, actually he's been around for a couple of months. He says he wants to remain under the radar at the moment, until he releases his new songs. "Actually am in the studio, trying to record a number of songs before I officially tell people that I'm back," he told ShowbizTu. Ndarling P came back from Australia, where he was studying and working at the same time. He was among the first musicians to release urban hip hop, together with Hardstone, Swahili Nation, Intu, Nikki, Kalamashaka, among others. He says he's not in a hurry to go back to Australia.
